Objective smartphone and tablet rankings
FactRated rankings answer one clearly defined comparison question at a time. Instead of hiding battery, repairability, durability and support behind one weighted score, each ranking states its metric, eligibility rules and missing-data treatment.

Battery
Compare standardized runtime per charge separately from battery-cycle durability. A model can lead one without leading the other.
Repairability
Rank by the official numeric repairability index and show the letter class plus supporting repair fields.
Physical durability and protection
Use compatible repeated free-fall cohorts, screen scratch resistance and IP protection as separate measurements. Foldable/non-foldable and smartphone/tablet test contexts are not mixed when the framework differs.
Software support
Rank only after the imported source distribution has passed the beta data-quality gate. FactRated does not silently change unusual source values to create a cleaner table.
Energy efficiency
Use the official A–G class. If a canonical numeric EEI value is not available in the normalized contract, FactRated does not invent a finer within-class efficiency score.
What a FactRated rank means
A rank means a product is higher/lower on the named metric within the stated eligible cohort at the catalogue snapshot shown on the page. It does not mean the product is universally better.
Frequently asked questions
Are missing values ranked last?
No. Missing values are excluded from the eligible denominator rather than treated as zero.
Are phones and tablets mixed in the same ranking?
Not where their test workloads or thresholds differ. Category-specific rankings preserve comparability.
Can a ranking change?
Yes. Source records can be updated and new models can enter the current catalogue. FactRated displays freshness information and recalculates rankings from normalized data.
Does FactRated have an overall ranking?
No overall composite score is used in the beta.
