Tablets With the Longest Standardized Battery Endurance

The most useful way to compare tablet runtime is to use a common standardized tablet workload, not battery capacity alone and not unrelated manufacturer marketing claims.

This ranking orders current slate tablets by their registered battery endurance per charge. FactRated keeps tablet results separate from smartphone results because the standardized tablet workload is different. An identical number of hours does not make the two test procedures identical.

Order: Battery endurance — highest first, unavailable values last. Tied values share the same position. The displayed top percentage includes every model tied at that value. At least 30 comparable models are required for contextual positions.

How this ranking works

FactRated stores the canonical endurance value in minutes and converts it to hours/minutes for display. Eligible current tablets with missing endurance are excluded rather than assigned zero. The ordering reflects standardized runtime only.

Rated capacity, minimum battery cycles, repairability and energy class appear as supporting context. A larger mAh value does not automatically produce a longer standardized runtime because the device can consume energy at a different rate.

What the result means

A higher value means longer operation under the defined slate-tablet test workload. It is a useful common comparison, not a prediction of every user's actual runtime.

Real-world tablet battery life changes with brightness, apps, connectivity, workloads, temperature and power settings. If you plan to keep a tablet for years, also check cycle durability and repairability.

Frequently asked questions

Is tablet battery endurance measured the same way as smartphone endurance?

No. The standardized workloads differ, which is why FactRated keeps the ranking cohorts separate.

Does the tablet with the biggest battery always rank first?

No. Capacity is only one input into runtime. The complete device's energy use also matters.

Is standardized endurance the same as continuous video playback time?

No. The tablet workload mixes several activities and idle periods under controlled settings.

What should I compare for long-term battery durability?

Use the battery-cycle ranking. Runtime per charge and long-term cycle durability are separate metrics.
