Smartphones With the Longest Standardized Battery Endurance
If you want to compare how long smartphones last on one charge, standardized battery endurance is more useful than battery capacity alone. It measures how long a covered phone runs from a full charge until shutdown while repeating the defined standardized usage sequence under controlled settings.
This ranking orders current smartphones by that registered endurance value. It does not rank by mAh, manufacturer “up to” claims or a FactRated review score. A larger battery can help, but efficiency and the rest of the device also affect runtime.
Eligible models: 1,057 · Excluded because the ranking metric is unavailable: 0
Order: Battery endurance — highest first, unavailable values last. Tied values share the same position. The displayed top percentage includes every model tied at that value. At least 30 comparable models are required for contextual positions.

How this ranking works
FactRated uses the canonical battery-endurance value in minutes, then converts it to hours and minutes for display. Models with no valid endurance value are excluded rather than treated as zero. Ties remain ties unless a visible secondary sort is needed for stable display.
Smartphones are ranked only against smartphones. Slate tablets use a different standardized workload, so their endurance results appear in a separate tablet ranking.
How to read the result
A phone near the top has a longer runtime under the defined standardized workload. That makes the result useful for comparing covered models on one common basis.
It does not mean every owner will get the same number of hours. Real runtime changes with signal strength, brightness, apps, temperature, network use, refresh rate and many other settings.
If long ownership matters, also check battery-cycle durability. Runtime per charge and long-term battery aging answer different questions.
What this metric does not tell you
- It is not continuous screen-on time.
- It is not a prediction of your exact daily use.
- It does not measure how many years the battery will retain capacity.
- It does not make the highest-ranked model the best phone overall.
- Battery capacity in mAh is useful context, not a substitute for standardized runtime.
Frequently asked questions
Is the phone with the biggest battery always at the top?
No. Rated capacity tells you how much charge the battery is designed to store, while standardized endurance also reflects how efficiently the complete device uses that energy during the test workload.
Can I compare an iPhone and an Android phone in this table?
Yes, when both are covered by the same smartphone test framework. The standardized workload is intended to provide a common comparison basis across covered smartphone models regardless of operating-system family.
Why is the registered endurance much longer than a screen-on-time test?
The standardized workload mixes active tasks with idle periods. It is not a continuous display-on drain test.
Should I also look at battery cycles?
Yes if you plan to keep the phone for a long time. Endurance per cycle describes runtime on one charge; battery endurance in cycles describes a separate long-term durability threshold.
