Find a phone or tablet by the specs that matter to you
The FactRated Finder lets you start with your requirements instead of someone else's overall score. Choose a device type, apply the objective filters that matter to you and sort the remaining products by the metric you care about most.

Example: choose for long ownership
A long-ownership search might combine:
- higher battery-cycle durability;
- strong repairability;
- longer declared software-update support after the field passes data-quality review;
- user-replaceable battery if that matters to you.
There is no need to assign arbitrary weights. You can make criteria mandatory, then sort the qualifying models by a separate metric such as battery endurance.
Example: choose for outdoor or demanding use
Start with:
- IP protection;
- repeated free-fall reliability within the compatible cohort;
- standardized battery endurance;
- repairability.
IP and drop resistance are separate measurements. Requiring both is more transparent than pretending one can stand in for the other.
Example: choose for repairability
Filter by repairability class/index and, if desired, user-replaceable battery. Then compare battery cycles and support duration among the remaining products.
How missing data works
A missing value does not mean zero and it does not mean the product failed the test. It means FactRated does not have a valid normalized value for that field. Filters that require a metric exclude products missing that metric unless the UI explicitly offers an “include missing” option.
Why most Finder URLs are not separate Google pages
The Finder can create many combinations. FactRated keeps those combinations useful for users but does not automatically turn every filter state into an indexable SEO page. Only selected high-value combinations become curated landings with stable criteria, explanatory copy and a sitemap entry.
Frequently asked questions
Can I sort after applying filters?
Yes. Filtering defines the eligible set; sorting defines the order. The UI should always make the active sort clear.
Does the Finder use an overall FactRated score?
No. It operates on explicit filters and metric-specific sorts.
Can I save/share a filtered search?
A shareable state can be supported, but arbitrary result states remain noindex in the beta unless promoted to a curated landing.
Why do some filters disappear for a product type?
FactRated only exposes filters that are meaningful/available for the selected category and data contract.
